We have planned and carried out this example tour for our clients. It is a combination of different regions of Argentina, Chile and Brazil and is based on the wishes of our clients. Partly private guided tours are planned, then again time at your own disposal with suggestions and with the rental car.
Such a sample tour is meant to show you what is possible. And it should give you some ideas. You are welcome to tell us your individual wishes and ideas - we will use them to create your own personal dream trip in our travel manufactory. Please feel free to call us or contact us.

Itinerary
Arrival in Buenos Aires
Arrival in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires. Reception at the airport and transfer to your centrally located hotel.
Buenos Aires - the Paris of South America
Optional City Tour:
After breakfast, you start an extensive city tour to get to know the "City of Tango". You will visit the colourful harbour district La Boca, home to many cabaret artists, the Palermo district, the Congress Palace and the Casa Rosada.

Buenos Aires - Tigre Delta
Today you have time to stroll through Buenos Aires on your own. Alternatively, an optional excursion to the Tigre Delta can take place. An excursion to an estancia with traditional horse riding competitions can also be planned.

Buenos Aires - El Calafate - Perito Moreno Glacier
Transfer to the airport and departure to El Calafate on the southern shore of Lago Argentino, a typical glacial lake of the Patagonian Andes. With an area of about 1,600 square kilometres, it is the largest lake in Argentina and the third largest in South America. Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel. The remaining day is at leisure. Visit the spectacular Perito Moreno Glacier - the "blue wonder" of Aregtinia.

El Calafate - Torres del Paine
Suggestion: Pick up a rental car, drive south and cross the border into Chile. After the entry formalities at Cerro Castillo, we head for another highlight of the trip, the Torres del Paine National Park. The way to your hostería already offers a first foretaste of the landscape scenario that awaits you for the next few days. With these impressions, you will end the day in one of the hosterias in the national park.

Suggestion: Today you can take an excursion through the Torres del Paine National Park with its indescribable scenery of rugged mountain peaks, glaciers, waterfalls and differently coloured lakes. Enjoy the beauty of this national park, which is still home to large herds of guanacos (Patagonian llamas), but also many pumas and condors. You can go on different hikes. For example, a hike at Salto Grande and another hike at Lago Grey.

Suggestion: Drive from Torres del Paine National Park via El Calafate to El Chaltén.

Take walks or a hike in the surroundings of El Chaltén. Enjoy a beautiful tour with views of the Fitz Roy mountain massif.

El Chaltén - El Calafate - San Carlos de Bariloche
Drive to El Calafate. Drop off the rental car at the airport and take an evening flight to San Carlos de Bariloche. Reception at the airport and drive to the hotel.

Suggestion: Pick up a rental car and drive through the Valle Encantado to San Martín de los Andes.

Return to San Carlos de Bariloche and overnight at the hotel.

Transfer to the airport and departure to Salta. Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel. The remaining day is at leisure.

Quebrada de Humahuaca (Humahuaca Gorge)
Suggestion: Pick up a rental car and drive on your own to the Humahuaca Quebrada. You will drive through the Posta de Hornillos and through Maimará, a small village in the middle of the Quebrada, where you can admire the multicoloured mountains of the Paleta del Pintor. Further north, you will come to Tilcara, where you will visit the Pucará (fortress) of the ancient indigenous people. This is a reconstruction of a prehispanic Omaguaca village - a culture that flourished in the area about 900 years ago. Before you get to Humahuaca, you can stop in Huacalera and Uquía. Visit the Ramoneda Museum here. Return to Salta.

From Salta through the Calchaquí Valleys to Cachi
Today you can drive through the Calchaquí valleys towards Cachi. Pass through picturesque landscapes of wild beauty to the Cuesta del Obispo and the Escoipe Gorge. You will drive through the Los Cardones National Park and past extensive plantations of red peppers. Arrive in Cachi at the foot of the mighty 6,384-metre snow-capped mountain. In this peaceful village with narrow cobbled streets, the old church with adobe walls and cactus roof, as well as the prehispanic site and funerary urns are worth seeing. The splendid play of colours of the alfalfa and vegetable plantations as well as the drying places for peppers will reward you for the efforts of the journey.

Cachi - Cafayate
Continue to Cafayate. The most important place of residence in the Calchaqui Valleys is the wine-growing town of Cafayate, which is reached through the gorges of Las Flechas or Las Conchas. Cafayate - the place where worries are buried - is flanked by rivers, dunes and vines. Torrontés wine is also grown here. In the Quebrada de las Conchas you can admire the bizarre rock figures created by wind erosion. After a short stop at the "Devil's Throat", you will reach Cafayate.

Today we return to Salta via Ruta 68. Overnight stay at the Hotel Casa Real Salta. Drop off the rental car.

Flight from Salta to Puerto Iguazú
Transfer to the airport and departure from Salta to Puerto Iguazú. Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel. The remaining evening is at leisure.

Visit to the waterfalls on the Argentinian side
Excursion to the Iguazú National Park. On the Argentinian side, you can see the waterfalls and the jungle up close. The view of the falls from the footbridges is stunning - you will be richer by one impressive experience. You will experience thundering waterfalls, huge rainbows and drenching haze, while birds circle over the deep green jungle in the distance. The highlight is the so-called Devil's Gorge, where huge masses of water plunge into the depths. Afterwards, return to the hotel.

Visit the waterfalls on the Brazilian side - Flight to Rio de Janeiro
In the morning we head to Brazil to the National Park and the gigantic waterfalls of Foz do Iguaçú. The falls are definitely one of the most attractive waterfalls in the world. The amount of water is enormous and the steam produced by the falls covers the whole area. As a result, the surrounding forest is humid and lush. Enjoy the national park in all its glory. In the afternoon, flight from Foz do Iguaçú to Rio de Janeiro. Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

Rio de Janeiro - Tour to Sugar Loaf Mountain and visit to the historic Old Town
After you have strengthened yourself at the hotel's rich breakfast buffet, you will make your way to Sugar Loaf Mountain. Due to its unusual appearance and its height, which is not to be sneezed at, Sugar Loaf is not only one of the most interesting attractions, but also one of the best viewpoints in Rio de Janeiro. The famous postcard motif can be reached by cable car. The first station and also a wonderful opportunity to take photos of Sugar Loaf Mountain is Morro da Urca. Here you change to the second cable car, which finally takes you up to Sugar Loaf Mountain. From up here you have a fantastic view of the beaches in Rio and Niteroi. In addition, the view sweeps over the Mata Atlantica, the huge forest stand along the coast. You can also see historical buildings, such as the Santa Cruz Fortress or the buildings on the former customs island Ilha Fiscal. Afterwards, you descend again and a guided tour through the historic old town of Rio awaits you.

Río de Janeiro - Tour to Corcovado and Maracaná Stadium
Today we go up to the Corcovado, on whose hilltop the statue of Christ watches over Rio de Jainero. It is one of the most admired monuments in the world. The trip up Corcovado begins in the Cosme Velho district with the comfortable rack railway. Even the way up to the statue offers the first views of the city. Once at the top, the view is indescribable: Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblón, Jardím Botánico, the Jockey Club and the lagoon - all of Rio spreads out before your eyes in all its glory. And above it all, the statue of Christ watches over and blesses the city, its inhabitants and its guests from the Corcovado. We then head to the Maracaná Stadium, where the German national team won the football world championship title in 2014. Afterwards, the tour continues past the Sambodromo back to your hotel.

Visa requirements for this trip
VISA REQUIREMENTS ARGENTINA:
Travel documents must be valid for at least six months.
German citizens can enter Argentina visa-free as tourists for up to 90 days.
VISA DETAILS CHILE:
Travel documents must be valid for at least six months.
No visa is required for a short-term stay for tourism or visiting purposes. Upon entry, a "Tarjeta de Turismo" (tourist card) is issued free of charge at the border, entitling the holder to a maximum stay of 90 days.
VISA DETAILS BRAZIL:
Travel documents must be valid for at least six months upon entry. All travellers must complete an entry and exit card, which is normally distributed on board aircraft, ships or buses shortly before arrival in Brazil. The completed and stamped entry card must be presented again when leaving the country.
Since the agreement between the EU and Brazil came into force on 1 October 2012, German nationals are allowed to enter or transit through Brazil without a visa for tourism or business purposes and to stay there for a maximum of 90 days during a six-month period.
Entry requirements for German nationals may change at short notice! Legally binding information on entry requirements can only be obtained directly from the embassy or one of the consulates general of your destination country.
