Today your journey continues towards Voskopoja. The mountainous Voskopoja had its heyday in the 17th/18th century. Today it is a picturesque village with only about 500 inhabitants. In Voskopoja you have the opportunity to visit several exceptional Orthodox collegiate churches. Some of them have already been restored. You will have enough time to stroll through the cosy village.
Afterwards you will visit the "French" Korça. Why French? - Because the town was declared an autonomous republic under French protectorate during the First World War. However, the protectorate lasted only a few years. The first French school in the country was also opened in Korça (1917-1939). Korça's population, proud and very open-minded, calls their city "Little Paris" because it is romantic and artistic as well as known for its serenades. The National Museum of Medieval Albanian Art with its collection of Orthodox icons (by the famous Onufri brothers) and the huge Orthodox cathedral are of course worth a visit. The canyon is located about 200 metres from the thermal springs and its height varies from 30 to 150 metres. The Ethnographic Museum, which shows a large part of Albania's history, also makes Gjirokastra stand out among the other cities in Albania. The architecture and the old town of Gjirokaster are still very well preserved today. Overnight in Gjirokaster at the Kalemi Hotel.

Tirane
Today's programme includes a visit to the capital Tirana. Founded in 1614, the city has been the country's capital since 1920 and is the cultural centre of the country. During the day you will have the opportunity to discover a city known for its colourful buildings and successful coexistence between religions. A visit to the National History Museum, located in Skanderbeg Square, will introduce you to Albania's rich history. At this square you will also visit the Et'hem Beu Mosque, which thanks to its historical value was preserved even during the communist era. Right next door are other sights such as the Opera House, the so-called Clock Tower and the Palace of Culture, as well as the Orthodox and Catholic cathedrals. Afterwards, you will visit the Pyramid, which houses a museum about the life of the former dictator Enver Hoxha. And if the weather is good, you can take a walk through the park of Tirana's man-made lake. For the evening, we recommend the Bllok, where young Tirana celebrates nightlife. Accessible only to the communist nomenclature/society in times of dictatorship, today the Bllok is the ideal place to spend an exciting night in Albania. Here you have the opportunity to relax in one of the many bars in this district and get to know modern Albania. Overnight in Tirane at the Comfort Hotel.
